What is...?

truth

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness [judicial decision, justice] of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. (Romans 1:16-23)

We are created in our spirit to have the desire and unction to grow. And as verse 17 above points out, there is movement and progression of God’s righteousness, better translated as God’s “judicial decision” or “justice” revealed to us as we grow from faith to faith. We also read about transforming from glory to glory, going from strength to strength, our path shining brighter and brighter, abounding more and more, and also increasing more and more in love.

18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed [transformed] into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (II Corinthians 3:18)

5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them. 6 Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools. 7 They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God. (Psalms 84:5-7)

18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. (Proverbs 4:18)

1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. (I Thessalonians 4:1)

9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another. 10 And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more; (I Thessalonians 4:9-10)

Growth that is prosperous eternally is built on the foundation of Truth, which is Jesus Christ, and is accomplished in the Holy Spirit of truth. Growth apart from our relationship with Him sprouts and then dies.

6 This is He that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (I John 5:6-7)

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

John 14:6, quoted above, is not a one-time message for the salvation slam dunk to then send players off the court to give room so that others have a chance to get their dunk in. Jesus spoke the verse in the midst of telling the disciples that He would be leaving them soon and preparing them for what was to come after His death and to sure up any doubt about who He is in relation to God the Father. Jesus Christ then follows with:

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. (John 14:11-17)

He was telling them, and us, to continue on. His work on earth was a firstfruits (I Corinthians 15:23). He did His complete work while He was bodily here. We are to also do our complete work through Him by the Holy Spirit flourishing in us. Father, thank you for this day and this moment.

Foundation of truth

Jesus Christ the Lord is the foundation of truth, because He is Truth. And when we walk in Truth, that Truth rests perfectly on the Way. This can initially be thought of as how a two-dimensional lithograph is made, where the foundation is put down first that supports and dictates what the following layers must rest upon. And then the next layer is placed and then the next. We go from glory to glory, strength to strength, shining brighter and brighter. The foundation does not change (Hebrews 13:8), but as each layer is placed onto the next, the picture becomes more vivid. Details become enhanced and textures are introduced. If something does not fit on the foundation it will be discarded and shown as false. False layers can be attempted by either adding doctrines / teachings that do not belong or omitting doctrines that do belong. And when new layers are placed on the foundation, it is done by faith, whether that faith is in something correct or incorrect.

Once we see the fundamental layout working as a lithograph, we can then make the transition to a more accurate description, with the foundation as Jesus Christ, the person. He is the foundation of truth, and He is the Word of God, John 1. The foundation is three-dimensional with a body, soul, and spirit; yet, it is still the foundation. He is the fullness of the Godhead (Colossians 2:9), and the more we grow and build in Him, the Truth, the more He is “filled in” or understood by us. His truth is spirit, and it is not obtained by the soul or in our minds. We are not to dissect Jesus or God into parts as though He is a cadaver in a second year University course where we are “standing over”* Him and discussing our findings. When this is done by the mind and the soul, the “part” of Him that is “discovered” will be attempted to be stored and will become foul. It will not be The Truth. When we come to the living Jesus for salvation, we see Him as the Truth of salvation. When we continue to walk in Him, that Truth does not change, but the depth and meaning of that same Truth expands as we grow in our relationship with Him.

We are given the charge to also lay our sacrifices and our treasures onto the foundation. And when it is tried and good, it stays. Some add color with the meaning of that color, some add understanding, some add wisdom, and the list goes on. But all things will be of the substance of the Lord Jesus Christ and reflect God the Father.

4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, 5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on Him shall not be confounded [made ashamed]. (I Peter 2:4-6)

Because we are spirit, and not only soul and body, man will build and try to build in the spirit. We are created to grow, expand, and produce as the previous section described. It does not matter if a person rejects the spirit realm as existing, or even declares that there is no God, they will still build in the spirit realm. The catholic and protestant pastoral matriarchy has rejected and tried to snuff out the knowledge that spiritual gifts are given to all men, whether they are “sealed” or not with the Holy Spirit.

17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place. 18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them. 19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. (Psalm 68:17-19)

This is the meaning of what Jesus meant when He said that God “sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust” in the last part of Matthew 5:45. It is because of the diversity of gifts, the particular ministering of the gifts, and the differences of their operations (I Corinthians 12:4-7) in man that there is growth or destruction on earth. Creativity, inventions, music, mathematics, with a long etc., everything is developed or built because of the ministries and gifts given to man by God so “that the LORD God might dwell among” us as stated above in Psalm 68:18.

Nothing can be built outside of God’s presence and awareness. We are building on the foundation of Jesus Christ, or building on a different spiritual foundation, or building while fully denying that He or the spiritual realm exists. Where and how we build will determine the quality of fruit and works, the eternal or temporal value of the fruit, and also whether it is obstructive to fellow man’s walk with Jesus Christ. Everything that is built outside, omitted, or distorted that is not on the foundation of Jesus Christ the Lord will be shaken and removed in earth and in heaven.

25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: 26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. (Hebrews 12:25-27)

Theme parks

To see how teachings and belief systems look in the spirit realm that do not include truth, Jesus Christ, we will start by looking at creation as a two-dimensional piece of white paper with a line drawn across it three quarters of the way down. The line represents earth. The white parts of the paper above and below the line represent the spirit realm in the earth, waters, and above the earth. A person or group can make a circle anywhere they want to on the piece of paper. They can make big circles or small circles. They can touch the earth or not. The circle is the parameter/restriction of the person or persons’ understanding of truth. To make the jump to three-dimensional, we can see the circle as a sphere, and then we can see that sphere become an enclosed theme park. For this illustration, we will keep the earth, waters, and heavens in two-dimensional form in our minds on the paper, where the theme parks arise as three-dimensional forms like pop-up books. This is how the thinkers of the theme parks view the earth, time, heavens, and seas; as though it is their sphere where “truth” is that can stand out to give growth and expansion on the earth or in the heavens.

As implied by the name, each theme park has a theme or themes. Admission tickets are required to get in at the gates. Each park has currency exchangers outside by the entrance for purchasing admittance tickets and also inside the theme park to purchase tickets for rides or special events inside the park. Some of the parks are set up more as carnivals, which stretch the bounds of the mind, with houses of mirrors. Some offer sessions to learn from someone who receives valuable information from an important spirit named “So and So”. Some offer rides into the spirit realm so that conversing with spirits is possible. Some theme parks are set up as places of learning, which give a guarantee at the gate that there will be no talk about God or anything spiritual. Some are set up as county fairs, where rides are low-impact and for the whole family. These offer breaks from the work week with lots of home cooked food available, and people pulling out baby Jesus pictures or His obituary clippings on regular intervals.

The spheres offer a lot. And they are what Scripture describes as “high places.” Even some of the better kings had trouble giving them up, with some keeping them, yet clarifying that they were only used for sacrifices to the Lord (I Kings 15:14, I Kings 22:43, II Chronicles 33:17). High places in Scripture can mean just going up to a high place, where sacrifices to God were sometimes given. But we are talking about high places that God wants destroyed (Leviticus 26:30, Deuteronomy 33:29, II Chronicles 34:3), these are high places built by man. Not distinguishing between the two types of high places has given the enemy lots of room to flex their muscles, especially when the same physical location of the high place is used for sacrificing to God, then to Balaam or other spirits that work “after the error of Balaam” (Jude verse 11), and then back to God again. This is what happens in our hearts when we decide to buy a ticket to visit or have extended stays at a theme park. We are the same person, the same physical location, where our mind and emotions give sacrifices to God and then we go to the theme park to sacrifice to Baal, and then go back out to sacrifice to God again.

The theme parks provide a place where man can offer burnt offerings (our emotional attention, adoration, love) or meat offerings* (our thinking minds, meditation, contemplation) to anything or anyone other than God. They are “truth” peddlers, with whatever amount of Jesus a person could want or not want, in the hopes that their perspective of truth becomes more real to its visitors or occupants than what is outside of the theme park.

Recall, no lie is of the truth as stated in I John 2:21, but the truth of God is changed into a lie.

20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. 21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. (1 John 2:20-21)

The spheres are fed and operated in the counterfeit of the Holy Spirit and in the counterfeit gifts given to man. They defile truth. The spheres are spiritual money changers from the eternal to the temporal, and they do satisfy for a season to fulfill the desires of the flesh, including emotions, and of the mind (Ephesians 2:1-3).

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (Romans 1:24-25)

Souls tend to look at verses like the two above, Romans 1:24-25, with a sexual slant. But this misses the spiritual truth of the passage. We dishonour ourselves when we worship and serve God’s creation, including angels, including knowledge, including anything that is put above God. Our body shifts into different uses than what it was created for. The dishonour comes when a person does not work as a member of the body of Christ (I Corinthians 12:12) and becomes a vessel to dishonour (II Timothy 2:20).

We are to grow and develop in the ministries and gifts as God intends us to do by the Holy Spirit. The ministries (Ephesians 4:11), the lists of gifts (I Corinthians 12:8-10), (Romans 12:6-8), the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and other lists in Scripture can be mapped to evil spirits or combinations of evil spirits when they are perverted or distorted. The individual evil spirits of the ministries have been covered**. This is not at all trying to get the idea across that there is on one side an evil power that is matched to its good power; we need to scrub the star wars thinking out of our minds. It is saying that when a person is operating in a gift or ministry and chooses to not submit to God, that gift cannot function in His righteousness. Evil spirits that appear to operate and utilize the same power can be expressed and manifested by the person who rejected God’s natural use of the ministry or gift. A very simple way of looking at it is that a person is given a hammer, but the person does not like the restrictions put on the use of the hammer because it will not deny the Lordship of the Spirit. An evil spirit or spirits offer themselves as alternatives to the hammer that satisfies a person’s temporal desire to hammer things. The person usually gets a lot of initial boosts and experiences from the evil spirits that teach other ways to hammer without God’s hammer.

The gifts listed in I Corinthians 12:8-10 can be mapped against the abominations listed in Deuteronomy 18*. The lists do not match in chronological order to one another. An example is that a person who operates as a wizard appears to have and talk about deep knowledge, but they have exchanged it for the Holy Spirit logos Word of knowledge.

9 When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. 10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth [divines] divination, or an observer [brings] of times, or an enchanter [observer], or a witch [sorcerer], 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. 13 Thou shalt be perfect [upright] with the LORD thy God. 14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers [brings] of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do. (Deuteronomy 18:9-14)

When we see the word “abomination”, it relates to the removal of God, or another way of saying it is “without Christ,” and it reflects an activity or environment where God has removed Himself because He was rejected and exchanged for the desire of man’s heart other than Him. And when we look at the list in Deuteronomy, it may hit you that the fear of these abominations set the stage for the pastoral matriarchy to dump anything that “looked spiritual” to their souls. The same thing has happened with dreams and interpretation of dreams, visions, spiritual warfare, seeing and sensing in the spirit, or anything that has a hint of being “in the spirit” realm. The irony is that the gifts and ministries end up ministering to man on the earth to further their growth in the Lord (Ephesians 4:12-15 and I Corinthians 12:7-12).

Back to the paper and the spheres. Man builds circles on the page, the current heavens and earth with the seas, as they operate in one or more abominations, leaving the natural use of the spiritual gifts and ministries that were given to them by God. The person’s ministry becomes temporal and brings forth corrupt fruit. Some circles stay on the ground; some have no part of their surface touching the ground. Some are higher on the white page and some are lower. Some travel on the seas, where they attempt to go into green horse* territory. The person determines in their heart to build and to work in “other”. God sees it, the angels and demons see it, man is aware of it, but not as much as we should be in order to identify what is being built. For all of these people, Jesus Christ just didn’t fit the bill enough. The relationship got dry. They know there is more; they want more of something because they know there is more in their spirit. But instead of seeking first the kingdom of God, they seek other ways and things. The tragedy is that many of these individuals have tasted salvation.

3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? (Galatians 3:3)

The spheres build with foolishness (I Corinthians 1:19-20, 25-29) against the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit’s operations are the “how” of things. How to operate in the gifts and ministries, how God created the universe and man, how to grow in the Lord, how to live, how to be saved, anything that asks a “how” is for the Holy Spirit to answer. He is the Comforter. And when our questions are answered, we are comforted by His truth.

A sphere that has been quite destructive to man and his ability to grow in the Spirit is called the “How We Got Here Theme Park”. When we enter into the How We Got Here Theme Park, the first thing a person does is to buy a ticket to get in. The ticket pricing is different depending on what section a person wants to visit. If they want the “I believe in God but want further explanation outside of the Holy Spirit’s teaching,” the price is that those portions of Scripture vividly describing “how” God created the earth and heavens will be cloaked from their understanding. Passages that talk about God and creation will be seen as nice sounding poems or pros that are not taken seriously about God telling us How He creates. Once a ticket is bought, the currency exchange has taken place. You have declared to God and to the spirit realm, I believe what the Bible says, but there has to be more, I know there is more, and I rely on man to build a bridge in my thoughts. And that bridge’s name is “how”. If a person wants the “there is no God section” in the How We Got Here Theme Park, they will have their ability to see God by His creation removed from their thoughts and eyes. All things will become mechanical in a man defined cause and effect reality.

The spirits that work in the How We Got Here Theme Park know that because man is made in God’s image, whether a person denies God’s existence or not, that they need something big, something that stretches the mind to replace God. It has to be (un)believable because we are talking about creation and God, and we all have an awareness it has to be something “significant” and entertaining. It has to be able to make the complex and the unusual things that God has already made seem ordinary. And it has to have the innate ability to keep on growing with no ability to come to the Truth (II Timothy 3:1-8) making it appear that things that are finite look infinite. The spirits know the hearts of man, and they know how to give satisfaction to answer questions that God only gives answers to by the Holy Spirit and in the spirit. They smell the desire to go into vain imaginations (Romans 1:21) and feed the mind with thoughts of the ancients and times past, when times were “better” (Ecclesiastes 7:10). They know how to knock at our door and reveal themselves as friendly and caring spirits that only want to share deep and enlightened truth about even God Himself if a person needs that special stipulation. Anything goes in the theme parks, it is all available and it is all minus the Holy Spirit leading us to God through Truth, Jesus Christ. They can expand chronological time in our thoughts; they can simplify relationships; they can teach us what real mercy is; they can give mind trips that go deep into human reasoning; they can provide for anything that is in man’s imagination. Their specialty is building false bridges: from man to creation or creation back to man, from man to wisdom or wisdom back to man, peace to man or man to peace, whatever we want to connect to, a bridge can be built with or without giving some Bible quotes or teachings.

5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) 6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by Him. (I Corinthians 8:5-6)

The spheres will always fold in on themselves because they are not built on Truth. Each sphere of reality is bound to only what is within that reality. Evil spirits fight against man’s understanding of and operations within kairos time*, prophetic time, because it is created by God. And that is why it was necessary to change the truth for a lie (Romans 1:25) in presenting thoughts of the earth being millions, no billions, with the decisive ± 0.05 billion, years old. They cannot control kairos time, so they do a bait and switch to make chorological time try to fit some of the characteristics of kairos time. The big bang theory, set up for the Christian mind in particular, uses the time counterfeit also, but gives the prerequisite requirement that God was involved. God’s fine handiwork, His labour (Psalm 19:1, Isaiah 45:9, Romans 1:20, Ephesians 2:10) from His fingertips, as an exceptional knitter and craftsman, the same way He wants us to create with our hands and our minds, gets shifted to Him breaking a rack on a pool table. Yes, it HAS to be something BIG, preferably loud, and too long of a timetable to imagine so that it seems reasonable to the natural mind, anything to keep our thoughts and spirits away from God’s kairos time. It has to be long enough and big enough so that our minds have empty spaces to allow for the “unknown” or “transitions” to happen in. We then do not see God the way He described Himself and His creation to us. When we visit the theme parks, it changes us. And when we eat the food and drink what is offered, that also changes us. We become less knowledgeable of our Saviour than when we first knew Him.

18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. (II Peter 2:18-19)

Once beautiful to Him

The Sermon on the Mount, Matthew 5-7, is a compacted message of truth after truth. Just before the closing passage of the entire message, Matthew 7:21-29 given below, Jesus Christ speaks about good trees and corrupt trees and the kind of fruit each produces in Matthew 7:17-20. He is talking about those who have received Him as Saviour and then produce corrupt fruit. They enter heaven, but not the kingdom of God. As they choose to build afar off without the Holy Spirit, they will be afar off in eternity because they were not known by God. God does not do one-offs. It is man who thinks that way and thought up the idea of salvation and then we wait and do other stuff with Him far away from us while we wait. No, He intends for us to enter into His chamber and stay there. Once we move out, and lie against the Holy Spirit and say “I will hold back some of myself for other uses later,” He does not know us. May our understanding be full when we read again about king Saul, Esau, and about Ananias and Sapphira who lied against the Holy Spirit and sold the whole, but only put down a part (Acts 5:1-11).

In other words, we won’t understand what He is saying any longer. The way we did in our hearts when we accepted Him. His Words will sound unreasonable and foolish, as though He is the one who does not make sense to us anymore. And we become convinced that we have to wait much much later for translation to really get the goods of what His Word says; as though we do not have the Holy Spirit in us; as though we did not hear Him before; as though we are no longer His sheep who hear and know His voice (John 10:27). We do not recognize Him anymore. But meanwhile, we will do a bunch of replays of His birth and His death and resurrection to assure ourselves that, yes, we will go to heaven because we believed in the message of Jesus for our salvation. We stay safe in the one-off that happened in our past. At that point, His Word will be cloaked and covered, because we cloaked ourselves from the Holy Spirit. We start speaking another language from His language and we have no place of communication. His “word hath no place” in us (John 8:37). His ways start to seem cruel to our hearts, even though it is the same Person who did the work to bring us into His House. He grows heartless to our souls, and that is the point when we divide Him asunder to get what we want from His house, revealing our own hearts to Him. We throw away a part of Him, and then that part also, and start ransacking the house; and after soiling it sufficiently and declaring “no living value here until we get to heaven,” we move on. And we start worshipping and befriending the very hosts that are created by Him because they give us what we want. They make us feel important. We do not care much if we are important to God anymore. We got the important thing we had to get from Him. After all, relationships have the shine wear off in time. He is too high maintenance for my taste. Not compatible anymore. I do get a lot of special memories when I think about when I first met Him though. Oh well, aren’t we supposed to kind of spread ourselves around? maybe someone will get saved when I go back to the fair on Sunday. I will explain to them about God and Jesus, and they will see how free I am in the relationship. It’s a win win. I can explain to them that I once had Him and that they can too. I will introduce myself as Vashti, because I am “beautiful” indeed. I know, because I was once made a queen.

This is what it looks like in the spirit realm. The whole host in heaven, earth, and the seas will know if we have had the kingdom rent from us. Are we still saved? yes. But our kingship after the order of Melchisedec is stripped from us when we do not desire the call to be “kings and priests unto God and unto His Father” (The Revelation 1:6). It occurs as seen in Esther 1, I Samuel 13:13-14, and I Samuel 15:22-28. Our taste for Christ dissipates, despite our going His way to get into the kingdom in the first place. We decide, with a seared conscience (I Timothy 4:2), that there is no reason to be guided by the Holy Spirit any longer. We want to interface with Hittite spirits of deceit that give us knowledge and wisdom that our souls crave for. We want to love others and show mercy the way we want to and the way we decide it should be done. We want to establish a different kind of kingship. We don’t want to be the same kind of king that Jesus was when He was on earth. Is my crown straight? I didn’t get a chance to check in the mirror before I left the House. What’s that? Yeah, I heard about that. Some of those guys who stay cooped up in the house give up their crown at the throne. Something about wanting to grow with a crown of glory. How stupid can ya get? Don’t they know that friendly spirits like to give us all kinds of information and even reveal themselves to us if we keep our crown on? What? Talk back and forth with God? No – I tried it a few times, I think it first happened when I heard His voice when I first came to the House. Nah, not so much now. I get my information from other people who really know their history and the Bible, who think more like me now. They are enlightened.

15 What shall we do unto the queen Vashti according to law, because she hath not performed the commandment of the king Ahasuerus by the chamberlains? 16 And Memucan answered before the king and the princes, Vashti the queen hath not done wrong to the king only, but also to all the princes, and to all the people that are in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus. 17 For this deed of the queen shall come abroad unto all women [souls], so that they shall despise their husbands [spirits] in their eyes, when it shall be reported, The king Ahasuerus commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came not. 18 Likewise shall the ladies of Persia and Media say this day unto all the king's princes, which have heard of the deed of the queen. Thus shall there arise too much contempt and wrath. 19 If it please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she. (Esther 1:15-19)

22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft divination, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. 24 And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice. 25 Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD. 26 And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel. 27 And as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent. 28 And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou. (I Samuel 15:22-28)

We cannot return into His presence once we have been in His presence and declare it unsatisfactory or not enough. It is an eternal choice we make for ourselves.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works miracles? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. 28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: 29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. (Matthew 7:21-29)

When we understand more of God’s character and what He intended and intends for us, the severity of what happens to our relationship with Him after having been once enlightened and partakers of the Holy Spirit can be understood. We can understand why there is no renewal again unto repentance (Hebrews 6:4-6, II Peter 2:20-22, Hebrews 10:26-29, Hebrews 12:17).

4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: 8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. (Hebrews 6:4-8)

31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost [spirit] shall not be forgiven unto men. 32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world [age], neither in the world [age] to come. 33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. (Matthew 12:31-33)

Let us not squelch at the Words we read or turn frigid with fear in our souls. But let us be clear. It is not o.k. to build high places; it is not o.k. to lead our brethren to serve the hosts of heaven or creation or thought. It is not o.k. to have received the Holy Spirit, and then crucify Christ anew. No, instead, let us boldly come straight into these verses and ask God if there be any wicked way in us (Psalm 139:23-24, Psalm 51:10-11, Psalms 19:13). Let us willingly allow ourselves to be subjected to His judgements to consume anything that is unpleasing to Him.

For the conclusion of the Sermon on the Mount, given above (Matthew 7:21-29), after talking about those who declared that they did many things in His name, yet He does not know them, Jesus then talks about building. The sermon ends with where we are to begin. He knew we would build; we are created and expected to build and to grow. We either build good or evil in our hearts, our house; with the Holy Spirit or without. When we grow without the Holy Spirit, we will be unknown by the Lord, and He will tell us that He never knew us. This is why blasphemy against the Holy Spirit comes at a price that finds no forgiveness, because the price was already paid in full. Let us be about the business of building in the Truth, the House, fit for the body of Christ.

Labouring in truth

11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven. (Psalm 85:11)

4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds [skies]. (Psalm 108:4)

Because truth is Jesus Christ, it springs out of the earth. This is beautifully descriptive of how Jesus’ labours, which He did while on the earth, resurrect from the ground. The more we read Truth and eat Truth, substance is worked into us and not only do we become more like Jesus, but our footing becomes surer and surer. Our thinking becomes loosed. And we no longer have the urge to catch or grab pieces of man’s or demonic tidbits that pass by us in the atmosphere (Ephesians 2:2). As we stand in truth, on the ground, we continue to grow in balance. Once we receive truth, Understanding stands along beside it. As truth and understanding begin walking together, truth teaches understanding. As Understanding understands truth, it applies the truth and starts to adorn us. This is why man can never reach truth by his own understanding; because they start with their own understanding first to then try to perceive or reach a truth. Jesus Christ, truth, must be received first, whether we understand it or not, and then true Understanding follows. Once we understand something, it gives us shelter and preserves that truth in our heart and mind.

5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5)

4 He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. (Psalm 91:4)

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; (Ephesians 6:14)

God created us to build with the need and desire to grow in all of the ways mentioned at the top of this post and beyond. He did not transform into a stingy boss once we accepted Jesus who gives us a job to do and then withholds blueprints and good building supplies to do the task. He gives us much more precious substance than what we can understand in our own minds. He gives Himself. After we accept Jesus as the One and only way to God and we enter into a relationship with Him, He wants us to become even closer to Him, to know Him better, to love Him more, and we want to be known by Him also.

23 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: 24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 9:23-24)

This is what God means when He speaks about us also becoming living sacrifices (Romans 12:1). It is because Jesus’ sacrifice in His death, resurrection, and ascension became the way for Him to give to us His living substance by the Holy Spirit to fill us each moment of the day. He is enough; and He never stops giving to those who seek a monogamous relationship with Him. A relationship that lasts as the song below states, “a million years.”

The nature of God’s love

We give thanks for those who work in their call and minister to us by song. May the musicians receive the firstfruits of their labour. May we hear the words that our God speaks to us as the mightiest of satan’s army cower at the Voice of God’s message given to men in the flesh who operate in the Spirit.

The anointed words and melody by Bob Dylan in “Make You Feel My Love” were set free to travel and rest for a moment on the anointed vocal instrument of Lenny Zakatek and pianist Steve Jeffries, until they were released again to rest into our hearts. May we feel His love as He speaks to us in the present, transports us to witness the events of John 19, and assures His love to us in the future.
